I was tagged by Rachel for the 7 random things meme. I think this has traveled around a lot and as far as I know never reached me the first (or 2nd) time around. It seems to be perfect timing, though, as I am in knitting limbo (no noteworthy progress. sigh.) and it is crunch time at school. And I am a bit of a weirdo. (And -- it will come as no surprise to many of you -- slightly food obsessed).
1. I love love love good olive oil and lots of salt on everything, but hate hate hate olives of any sort. (Believe me, I have tried).
2. I am emotionally and physically addicted to a Genmai-Cha and MateChino concoction I make every morning but can't stand the smell or taste of coffee and can't drink caffeine after 1 p.m. or else I will be awake for 3 days. On a similar vein, I can't drink hot beverages in stainless steel mugs because I can only taste metal and it makes me nauseous. (It is difficult to find good all-plastic travel mugs. I go to school a lot carrying pint glasses filled with strange colored tea).
3. I don't like chocolate. Really. I've tried on this one, too.
4. I am convinced I have Raynaud's Disease.
5. The thought of drinking a glass of milk repulses me beyond description, but I eat cheese on a daily basis. Crave cheese. Love cheese. Will never be a vegan because of cheese. (and bacon).
6. I played the violin for 6 years but never learned how to tune it properly (at all). I believe I am tone deaf.
7. I received varsity letters all 3 seasons -- 3 different sports -- all three years of High School. I have not participated in a single competitive athletic event in the 10 years since.

A week or so (probably 3) ago, I signed up to participate in a "pay it forward" little swap. I liked it for two reasons, one, I had 365 days to do it, and 2, I liked how "open" it was. Especially that I had 365 days to do it. And it seems like a really cool idea. So......
“The idea of the exchange is I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on this blog post requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet, and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.”
Who's in? I am 99% sure my gift will not be hand-knit, but it will be knitting related and one of a kind design by me. If you do want to participate, post a comment on the blog and let me know your email address so I can get your info. Thanks!

Thanks for the website encouragement! For some reason the image is showing up much larger elsewhere than on my screen, so I have to tweak the size in dreamweaver. I have to photograph a TON of work today to get it all together. (This makes me nervous. I am not a great photographer). I'll let you all know when she is live!
(Anne: Osborn is my future married name. Its a long story).

i'm right there with you on the olives, and the genmaicha. brown rice tea good - olives BAD! :)
Right there with you on milk, and was *just* reading an article about it! I developed lactose intolerence a few years back, and (aside from cheese) it wasn't a problem at all - if anything, it was a good excuse.
You are oh so VERY wrong. EVERYONE wants to see outdated pictures of your puppy on your knitting blog! Well, at least *I* do. :)
Raynaud's phenomenon here. Are they calling it a disease these days? :) Knitted wool socks are perhaps the best comfort to my blood-less toes I have yet found.
I'm in for the PIF exchange! What a nice idea...
I'm in second on the PIF Exchange? Looking forward to it :o)
i'm sooo with you on the milk thing. gag. i've never, ever, had a plain glass of milk.
i try to use travel mugs all the time and everyone stares at me like i have 3 heads when i say that all i can taste is metal. i'm so glad i'm not the only one.
but no coffee? that i cannot imagine!
love the website design, by the way!
lol lol lol lol. i thought for sure you were gonna throw something in there about the food cravings. and i love how you'd be vegan except for not eggs or just cheese, but cheese and bacon. awesome lol. that's why i love you. and WAY TO GO! on the website.
Really, why have knitting pictures when you can have Opus pictures? I just want to bury my face in his soft fuzziness.
Same with me on #3 and #4! I thought my mom and I were the only ones with freezing toes!
