Only because I think she's swell.

I have been busy busy over the last few weeks: in addition to school, work and TNNA, some really amazing, exciting things are happening around here, but since they have to do with a)my future, b)the knitting world and c)lawyers and disclosure agreements*, I can't really talk about it. One side effect of this little project is that everything I am knitting is directly related, so I cant really blog about my knits either, and this is supposed to be a knitting blog, so..... I got nothing.**

But, Meg tagged me for a Meme. And I think Meg is awesome. An I know her in the flesh. So I am going to play.
You know the rules, onto the questions:

1) What was I doing 10 years ago?
Anticipating graduating high school, preparing to get the hell out of dodge and go to Skidmore, trying to figure out how to make love last and getting psyched to teach art at a summer school with my future sister-in-law.

2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order)?

  1. Photoshoot in Italian Market.
  2. Decide whether to re-cone poor Opus so he doesn't pull his stitches out when unsupervised this afternoon.
  3. Call Bird's dad to discuss business dealings.
  4. Finish sewing on buttons.
  5. Chart out Edelweiss mittens and write pattern.

3) Snacks I enjoy:

  1. Skittles Special Edition Carnival Flavors
  2. Bacon Wrapped Medjool Dates
  3. Caramel flavored rice cakes
  4. Miss Vickies Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips
  5. French Fries with salt and mayo.

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:

  1. Pay off my, my brother and my sister in law's student loans.
  2. Set up a fund to fully support my Nana and Grandmere.
  3. Set up education funds for all of the youngins in my family.
  4. Open up a no-kill animal shelter in Philadelphia focusing on anti-pitbull fighting (but pro-pitbulls!) education, free spaying and neutering and the closure of all puppy mills.
  5. Travel.
5) Places I’ve lived:
  1. Amherst, MA
  2. Saratoga Springs, NY
  3. Boulder, CO
  4. Florence, Italy
  5. Norwich, VT
  6. Philadelphia, PA
See, nothing. Not even a current photo of Opus. And I think this one has been used already.

*no, I am not writing a book, and no, I am not trying to work for Berroco.
**Planted by a seed a few months ago, I have also been doing a lot of thinking and sometimes tequila and red wine induced analyzing of the knitting world, perceived popularity contests, blogging and the future of this blog, but that is a post for another day (to be honest, a post for probably never, but it may be the reason for extended absences around these parts).
